Gas samples are analyzed using a Daniels on-line gas chromatograph with approved GPA and API methods.
- Analytical test methods are in accordance with Gas Processors Association (GPA) publications 2261 (Analysis for Natural Gas and Similar Gaseous Mixtures by Gas Chromatography) and the American Petroleum Institute (API) Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards, Chapter 14, Section 1.
- Calculation methods are in accordance with GPA Standard 2172 (Calculation of Gross Heating Value, Relative Density and Compressibility Factor for Natural Gas Mixtures From Compositional Analysis). The values of the physical constants for the gas components shall be determined by the use of the physical constants listed in the most current version of GPA 2145 (Table of Physical Constants of Paraffin Hydrocarbons and Other Components of Natural Gas) or other applicable industry standards.
